Pokia 3310 First Repair and Reassembly Solution

Tested version: Windows launch retail build, tested August 10, 2026. Hashimoto’s opening phone is the Pokia 3310. The Pokia N-Joy is a different gadget, so do not use this parts list for it, another similar-looking Pokia, or a real mobile phone.

You know the trick: the brush is making cheerful little scritch noises, yet the dirt meter is sitting there like it has gone on lunch. First open the real cleaning interaction. Drag the dirty part onto the round tan cleaning pad at the lower-right edge of the blue work mat. Select the part after it snaps into the station. The cleaning to-do card and brush will appear, and the Remove dirt meter will begin to move.

Pokia 3310 Parts, Screws, and Connectors

The job card tracks 11 removable components. All 11 original parts are functional; the six screws are separate fasteners and do not raise the component count.

Screw check: Remove all six Circuit Board screws. Two sit at the upper speaker-end corners. Four sit around the lower keypad end: two above the bottom edge and two at the bottom corners. Put all six in the screw tray before lifting the Circuit Board.

Connector check: There is no loose cable, plug, or ribbon connector to disconnect. The Speaker, Function Buttons, and Option Button are drop-in pieces. Early-2000s cable spaghetti has kindly been postponed.

Parts and Surfaces That Must Be Cleaned

This opening job requests Clean only. Keep every original component; nothing needs to be bought or replaced. Clean these five parts to 100%:

Front Panel: Brush the outer face, inner face, display cutout, and the full side rim.
Back Panel: Clean the dirty outer shell, then rotate it and sweep the inner face and complete rim.
Battery: Clean both broad faces and the narrow edge band.
Function Buttons: Check the button face, underside, both curved ends, and inner curved edge.
Keyboard: Brush the raised-key side, flat underside, outer rim, and the gaps around the key shapes.

The Casing, Circuit Board, Screen, Screen Frame, Speaker, and Option Button start clean. For each dirty part, keep the cleaning card open, rotate the piece, and continue until Remove dirt: 100% appears. A hidden underside or thin edge is usually the last stubborn smudge.

Verified Pokia 3310 Reassembly Order

Place the Casing in the center of the mat with the open component side facing you.
Set the Circuit Board into the Casing. Follow the placement outline; there is no connector to attach.
Install all six screws: the two speaker-end corner screws and the four screws around the lower keypad end.
Seat the curved Function Buttons in their matching recess.
Place the small Option Button in the oblong recess.
Lay the Keyboard over the lower keypad area.
Place the black Screen in the display opening.
Fit the Screen Frame around the Screen.
Drop the round Speaker into the circular recess above the display.
Rotate the phone and place the Battery in the rear recess.
Fit the Back Panel over the Battery.
Return to the front and snap on the full Front Panel last.

The finished job card must show How to Reassemble: 11/11 with Clean crossed out. When Perfect! appears above the complete phone, close the workbench with the X. The finished Pokia can then be returned to Hashimoto to continue the opening story.

If the Pokia Still Looks Dirty or Incomplete

Confirm that the job card says Pokia 3310, not Pokia N-Joy.
Move the part onto the round tan cleaning pad before brushing. Sound without a moving dirt meter is not progress.
Reach 100% on Front Panel, Back Panel, Battery, Function Buttons, and Keyboard.
Rotate those five parts and check every inner face, underside, cutout, rim, and narrow edge.
Count six Circuit Board screws: two at the speaker end and four at the keypad end.
Do not search for a missing cable; this phone has no loose connector.
Install the Circuit Board and screws before the front drop-in parts.
Use Screen before Screen Frame, Battery before Back Panel, and Front Panel last.
Look for 11/11, the crossed-out Clean service, and Perfect! before closing the bench.
