Use this Phonopolis section when you already know the scene and just need the answer. The game loves hiding one useful latch inside a busy cardboard stage, so do not feel bad if you have been staring at a wall of tiny cutout buttons while the Leader's loudspeaker bosses everyone around like a bad office manager. Start with the nudge, then use the exact steps under it.
The big rule is simple: most puzzles are not codes. They are small machines. The Absolute Tone is the Leader's mind-control broadcast, and Felix beats that machine by making the city's props misbehave. If a scene stops responding, reset your momentum by clicking the newest moving part, checking the edges of stickers and panels, then leaving and re-entering the close-up if the game lets you.
Landfill, Opera House, and Headphones
Nudge: The first puzzles teach you that Phonopolis hides controls under stage dressing, posters, and stickers.
- At the landfill, try to walk away until the loudspeaker forces Felix back to the crusher. Repeat until the ground gives way.
- Underground, wake Felix, move right through the dark path, inspect the woman's portrait, then use the gramophone to reach the old opera stage.
- At the opera stage, pull the right curtain rope to open the stage. Pull it again if the pyramid backdrop is not showing.
- Clear the props: pull the left rope until the sun appears, pull the sun's ribbon so it falls, move the column and rocks offstage, and drop the crate until it breaks.
- Drag the pyramid toward Felix after the stage is clear. Pick up the headphones.
- Rip the torn background poster until the hidden stairs appear, then leave.
- Back at the crusher, drag the headphones onto Felix. Click the loudspeaker until the workers overfill the crusher into the red zone, then use the crusher.
Police Vehicle Escape
Nudge: The police car is a sticker-covered control panel. You are not driving well; you are driving badly on purpose.
- Peel the sticker inside the vehicle to expose the controls.
- First phase: set the top control to water, set the middle control to gears or wheels, then raise the speed so the driver loses control.
- Second phase: keep the speed high, keep water active, and angle the vehicle so the water sprays into the driver's face.
- Final phase: peel the loose cover on the speed panel to reveal the hidden switch. Turn it on, switch from hose to cannon, and set the tread/wheel control so the vehicle thrashes itself apart.
Women's House / Number 24 Building
Nudge: This is the first real cardboard-dollhouse puzzle. The floors, chimney, water, and people all move the staircase for you.
- Open the four shutters to expose the stairs.
- Send Felix upward until he sees the missing ladder, then return down. The ladder piece is near the lower right, but the worker blocks it.
- Slide the third floor to the right and rotate the chimney upward so the smoke path connects.
- Press the right base button to send smoke upward. The worker opens the blocked route while rescuing the woman; click the opened stair route before he returns.
- Move the third floor right while the woman steps out for sun, then slide it left so she drops down and distracts the worker.
- Press the left base button to send water from above and lure away the cleaning woman.
- Climb to the fourth-floor room.
Apartment, Dream Fall, and Clothesline
Nudge: The apartment escape is a noise trick. The rooftop sign is a cleanup puzzle disguised as letters.
- In the apartment, click the chandelier, piano, drawer, small accessory, and clock to make enough strange noises for the police to leave. Save the clock for last if the room is not moving on.
- During the falling dream, bump into the objects as Felix drifts, then rotate the small planet until the woman's face appears in the center.
- On the rooftop sign, remove the letters in order: unscrew both bolts on T, wiggle O until it drops, untie N, and peel the bandage from E.
- Cross on the cables. When police twist them, swap between the upper and lower cable to move against their pull.
Apartment 51 Wallpaper Puzzle
Nudge: The nine-button wall is not random wallpaper. You are building room scenes until each hidden side button appears.
- Cycle the tiles until the wall matches the TV-side wallpaper. Press the new white button.
- Cycle the tiles until the wall is fully blue. Press the blue button.
- Build the bathroom layout with the vanity or sink, mirror, toilet, chair, and steamer. Press the first red button.
- Build the kitchen layout. Press the second red button.
- Use the kitchen command once so the cable trouble starts.
- Use the blue command twice so the man drops one bottle and puts the next bottle on the TV.
- Use the bathroom command so the woman pours the TV bottle into the toilet and the wall changes the loudspeaker color.
- Click the new blue loudspeaker to swap the couple's roles.
- Use the blue command once more, then use the kitchen command again. The vent drops and the woman leaves, so Felix can climb out.
Police and Speaker Trap
Nudge: The parade vehicle is a loudspeaker trap with three colors. Red handles the megaphone, blue handles speed, and yellow handles the final speaker gag.
- Press the round button inside the vehicle to reveal the two control records.
- Connect minus to red to lower the megaphone. Connect minus to blue to stop the vehicle. Connect minus to red again to remove the lower officer.
- Connect plus to blue to speed up. When the top officer loses balance, connect minus to blue so he falls into the chimney, then connect plus to blue again to launch him away.
- For the last officer, connect minus to yellow to suck him into the speaker, then connect plus to yellow to pop him out.
Workers' District Elevator Beam
Nudge: The beam puzzle only cares about one thing: route the light from the source to the exit.
- Move the black pieces so the beam bends cleanly across the board.
- Do each of the four beam boards in order.
- If the beam misses the exit, undo the last deflector move first; one wrong angle usually breaks the whole route.
- When all four routes connect, the elevator activates.
Prison Escape Platforms
Nudge: The yellow path is your safe route. The searchlight is the regime's tiny moving eye, so only move when it looks away.
- After the bird frees the cable, use it to leave the cell.
- Rotate the platforms until they form a yellow route to the left lever.
- Move only while the overhead light is not watching Felix.
- Pull the lever to reverse the light's direction.
- Rotate the platforms again so they lead from the start to the bottom stairs, then leave when the light passes.
Bathroom Pipe, Plumber, and Wrench
Nudge: The red bathroom stall is your pipe entrance, but the city makes you earn a wrench first. Very normal plumbing policy.
- Return to the bathroom area and rotate the empty red stall until it collapses.
- Read the nearby poster, then ride back down to the first area and enter the plumber's building on the right.
- At the house puzzle, use the central rotating house as the pattern. Match the six surrounding facades to its shapes and textures to open the way inside.
- Inside the plumber's house, rotate to the back and press the red button to reveal the sleeping plumber with the wrench.
- Close the roof chimney until it bursts open the attic.
- Take the pipe and place it in the blue hole on the left to fill the house with smoke.
- Clear the debris from the split center until the side handle appears.
- Use the control on Felix's floor to restore the house shape.
- Pull down the neighbor's pants so the woman climbs down and slips into the open hatch.
- Use the red spinning disc on the front to line the pin up with the plumber's room, then turn the house and press the bedroom button.
- Pull the handle to lift and hook the plumber.
- Turn the building so the smoke or steam pushes the firefighters into their safety net.
- Rotate both house halves until the red pipes connect, align the plumber with the pipe, then use the red pipe plug. Take the wrench.
- Return to the bathroom and use the wrench to stop the water.
Construction Site Pipe Puzzle
Nudge: You are building a launch platform from junk. Power, drill, fire, air, then climb.
- Connect the bowl object to the motor, then connect the motor to the drill.
- Use the drill on the small electrical box on the right.
- Connect the bowl object to the electrical box and light it.
- Move the drill left and drill the blue air pipe to release air pressure below.
- Raise the drill and remove the screws from the overhead pipe panel.
- Place the burning bowl by the air stream, then put the wooden box beside it so it burns into a platform.
- Move the new platform beside the air device and let the airflow inflate it.
- Click the raised platform to reach the next pipe.
Bathhouse Outfit and Bureau Pass
Nudge: Felix needs the right clothes and the right paperwork. The city has turned dress code into machinery, naturally.
- At the bathhouse, set all three dancers spinning.
- Set the center dancer to twirl with sparks while the other two worship her. A large bather replaces her.
- Set all three dancers spinning again.
- Set the left dancer raising a hand, the large bather clapping, and the right dancer worshipping. The left dancer leaves.
- Set all three dancers spinning one more time.
- Set the large bather blowing at the right dancer while the left dancer worships him. Take the outfit near Felix's pipe.
- After the dream, go to the Bureaucratic Quarter and enter the Phonobureau.
- Use the three-button camera-door device to guide Felix to the BYRO sign.
- In the office, take Felix's photo, then press the red loudspeaker so the red worker adds it to the file.
- Press red again to send the file to the grey worker. If he spits the photo out, press red once more after he wakes.
- Rotate the office so the grey worker is above the blue worker, then use the grey loudspeaker. This frees the blue worker.
- Move the file to the blue worker. Rotate him to the bottom-left so the file lines up with the water pipe, then use the blue loudspeaker to staple the file and break the pipe.
- Rotate the blue worker above the yellow worker so water reaches the yellow worker's tongue.
- Send the finished file through red, grey, blue, and yellow. Take the pass.
Restaurant Lightbulb Machine
Nudge: You need a bulb, but the kitchen will shatter it unless you make something soft for it to land on.
- In the restaurant, get a meal from the serving machine and sit at the last upper table under the round window.
- Finish eating so the cleaner arrives with the cart. Use the cart to climb into the window.
- In the food machine, open the sausage panel and sauce panel, then trigger the sausage machine so the sausage jams in the sauce tube.
- Find the pudding recipe behind the question-mark panel.
- Set the bottom layer to the snowflake, open it, then use the corkscrew panel to remove the fish from the drawer.
- Open the bottle panel, move the corkscrew to the top layer, open the bottle, and pour it into the empty drawer to freeze the contents.
- Use the corkscrew to lift the ice block to the top layer.
- Put the ice block into the pudding form, pour in the mix, then rotate the bottom layer to the fire stove to cook it.
- Set the glove hand on the top-left, the pudding in the middle-center, and the sauce plate below. Knock the lightbulb down safely, then return to the serving machine and pick it up.
Avant-Garde Quarter and Final Push
Nudge: The last act is a chain of stage tricks. Make smoke, break panels, free Rachel, and use sound against the Leader's machine.
- Put the lightbulb into the Avant-Garde elevator device and solve the four beam boards to activate the lift.
- At the car puzzle, move the black car to the left pipes. Move the hidden red car back into place. Open the top-right box shutter and pull the last car out from the bottom so it fits.
- With three cars parked, press both buttons on the smoke control to make a cloud.
- Use the bottom-right crank to move the smoke to the yellow electric device.
- Use the top-right control until the cloud becomes electrified and black.
- Move the charged cloud back upward with the bottom-right crank so it destroys the control panel. Enter through the opened route.
- Inside, use the poles to make stairs up to the spiral staircase.
- In the vent near Rachel's cage, change the connecting music parts until all of them play and draw Rachel's attention. Free her when the tune chain is complete.
- On the stage, change the performers and costumes through the required crowd-matching formations until the audience is satisfied.
- In the final Absolute Tone room, solve the five energy beam boards so Felix's tune clashes with Rachel's forced note and breaks the device.
If you are stuck on a visual board with no obvious code, back up one layer: ask what the machine is trying to do. A beam must reach an exit, a room wall must match a full scene, a smoke cloud must touch a device, and a person must move out of Felix's way. Phonopolis is at its best when that handmade nonsense finally clicks, and most blockers loosen once you name the cause before hunting the next button.
