Happy, Neutral, and Negative Ending Routes

Full ending-spoiler warning: Everything below reveals the major resident outcomes, Number 47’s identity, and all three endings in D-topia. Stop here if you want to spend your first week trusting Paradise’s suspiciously cheerful paperwork.

You know the trap: Shiro crosses half the district at the speed of chilled syrup, only to learn that today’s ending was shaped two days ago. Do not treat Day 7 as an ending menu. A Brain Meeting is the game’s yes-or-no Ponderation flowchart, and its final decision can change a resident’s state. The Day 7 result reflects the trail of choices you made across the week.

How Chapter Select Carries New Choices Forward

D-topia gives each playthrough one live save. Chapter Select begins the active timeline at the selected day. Choices from before that point form the starting state, while new decisions take effect as you replay the later chapters. Continue normally through Day 7 and the credits after changing a choice. Rewinding does not create a protected copy of your later progress, merge two timelines, or jump straight to a different ending.

Because there are no separate manual save slots, “backup point” below means the last useful decision point to stop at, or the latest useful day available through Chapter Select. The clean order is Happy first, Neutral from Day 6, then Negative from Day 1. Finish each branch through the credits before rewinding again.

Happy Ending Route

The happy route preserves the humane outcome in each major Brain Meeting, saves the residents tied to later choices, and supports free thought during Chloro’s judgment. Mice, decorations, wages, repairs, and friendly chats can help with other goals, but they do not replace the required story decisions below.

Latest useful backup point: If your positive states are correct through Day 5, stop on Day 6 before speaking with Mari in the Garden. After finishing another ending, the latest useful Chapter Select start is the beginning of Day 6. If Amane, Pivlof, Heine, or Nora already has the wrong outcome, rewind to that resident’s earlier day instead.

Required choices

  1. Day 1 — Tot: Protect Tot from expulsion and hide the shop incident from the district AI. Use Yes, Yes, Yes, No, Yes, Yes.
  2. Day 2 — The cat: Reject the destruction order and adopt the cat. Use No, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes.
  3. Day 3 — Amane: Decide that the rain is hurting her compatibility test, then alter the large Rainman device outside the Salon. Use Yes, No, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Amane passes and remains in D-topia.
  4. Day 4 — Pivlof: Inspect both hidden diary puzzles in the Salon’s Block Side. Tell Pivlof the truth about his daughter and urge him to refuse memory removal. Use Yes, No, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Pivlof keeps his memories.
  5. Day 5 — Heine and Nora: Do not use 7809 to go home. Enter 9054 at the Warehouse, rescue Heine, hear Nora out, and help her recover her property. Use Yes, Yes, Yes, No, Yes, No, Yes. This creates the helpful Nora state needed on Day 6.
  6. Day 6 — Mari and Sona: Keep the consent form when Mari asks for it in the Garden, then choose to speak with Sona at the Salon. Nora will give you a duplicate Rank 7 resident ID. At the doctor’s Brain Meeting, use No, Yes, Yes, No, Yes: reject either sister’s sacrifice, register Mari as a permanent resident, and choose the shared-organ operation. Both sisters survive.
  7. Day 7 — Chloro: Enter Number 47’s home through Block Side, use code 0966, and reach the AI Mega Core. Number 47 is Chloro. During the final Brain Meeting, support free thought with AI in a helping role, reject unfair fates, and choose continued human care. With the positive resident outcomes in place, this produces the happy ending.

Choices excluded from the happy route

  • Refusing to change the weather for Amane.
  • Hiding the truth from Pivlof or allowing his memory removal.
  • Using 7809 to go home instead of rescuing Heine with 9054.
  • Opposing Nora and losing access to her duplicate Rank 7 ID.
  • Giving Mari the consent form before speaking with Sona.
  • Choosing an operation in which Mari or Sona dies.

If Nora’s duplicate ID does not appear on Day 6, the problem is upstream. Rewind to Day 5, rescue Heine through the Warehouse, support Nora during her Brain Meeting, and replay every later chapter.

Neutral (Normal) Ending Route

The quickest neutral route begins from a completed happy timeline at Day 6: Last Birthday. Keep the earlier positive outcomes for Amane, Pivlof, Heine, and Nora, then change the twins’ branch. This is a scoped route from the happy timeline, not a promise that every mixed set of decisions produces the normal ending.

Latest useful backup point: Stop immediately before speaking with Mari in the Day 6 Garden scene if you have not passed it. After the happy ending, select the beginning of Day 6 and replay forward.

Required choices

  1. Select Day 6 and replay the required morning story. Factory tasks may be skipped if you accept the lower rating and pay.
  2. Meet Mari in the Garden and give her the surgical consent form instead of keeping it.
  3. Follow the resulting branch in which Mari, the clone, sacrifices herself to save Sona.
  4. Complete the required story puzzle and finish Day 6.
  5. Replay Day 7 through Chloro’s judgment and continue through the credits. With the earlier humane outcomes intact but the twins’ happy solution removed, Chloro leaves the Utopia Project unresolved and you receive the neutral, officially named normal, ending.

Choices excluded from this neutral route

  • Keeping the form, using Nora’s Rank 7 ID, and choosing the shared-organ operation; that restores the happy branch.
  • Reversing several earlier resident outcomes as well; follow the separate negative route instead.
  • Changing Day 6 and then jumping ahead with Chapter Select. You must replay the downstream story so the new state reaches Day 7.

Negative Ending Route

The negative ending requires system-first choices across the whole week. Starting on Day 7 is too late. Select Day 1, focus on required objectives, and skip Factory tasks if you are willing to take the lower pay and rating. Speed drinks help with the long walks; even Paradise cannot optimize Shiro’s commute without paperwork.

Latest useful backup point: If you are still on the original run, stop before Tot’s Day 1 Brain Meeting. After completing another ending, the practical Chapter Select start is the beginning of Day 1. No later chapter gives you control over every required negative state.

Required choices

  1. Day 1 — Tot: Report the incident and expel Tot.
  2. Day 2 — The cat: Approve the cat’s destruction instead of adopting it.
  3. Day 3 — Amane: Do not change the weather for her. She fails the compatibility test and is expelled.
  4. Day 4 — Pivlof: Do not reveal the truth about his daughter and do not oppose memory removal. Pivlof undergoes the operation.
  5. Day 5 — Heine and Nora: Enter 7809 and return home when Heine is trapped. Do not use 9054 at the Warehouse. Heine remains unsaved, and the helpful Nora state is not created.
  6. Day 6 — Mari and Sona: Give Mari the consent form and follow a branch where one sister dies. The direct route sacrifices Mari to save Sona.
  7. Day 7 — Chloro: Return to Number 47 and complete Divine Judgment. The accumulated negative outcomes lead Chloro to decide that D-topia needs AI control without imperfect humans, producing the negative ending.

Choices excluded from the negative route

  • Protecting Tot or adopting the cat.
  • Keeping Amane in D-topia by changing the weather.
  • Preserving Pivlof’s memories.
  • Entering the Warehouse with 9054 and rescuing Heine.
  • Helping Nora and receiving her duplicate Rank 7 ID.
  • Saving both Mari and Sona.
  • Trying to force the negative ending with only different Day 7 answers.

If Chloro still gives you the neutral result, check every early state: Tot must be expelled, the cat must be destroyed, Amane must be expelled, Pivlof must undergo memory removal, Heine must be abandoned through code 7809, and one twin must die. Rewind to the earliest mismatch and replay every later chapter. Paradise may adore efficiency, but its ending ledger remembers the whole week.
