Chapter 5: The Small Town
- Speak with the ghost at the open grave.
- Take the SOUL STONE.
- Zoom into the water ahead to initiate a puzzle.
- The object of the puzzle is to arrange the board fragments to restore the bridge.
- Click two fragments to swap their positions and match the shapes of the breaks.
- It’s a fairly simple puzzle to figure out.
- The position of the end pieces is easily determined by the position of the metal braces attached – note the screen shot.
- The central sections don’t swap over, but are merely rotated to match the jagged ends of the wood.
- Once done, move forward to the swamp edge.
- Zoom into the water.
- Speak to the ghost.
- Enter the portal that appears to be transported to the stable.
- Click on the box up in the rafters on the upper left to knock it down.
- Take the HAND DRILL.
- Zoom into the man and woman.
- Speak with them.
- Click on the note on the side of the box on which the man is sitting.
- Move forward to the porch area.
- Zoom into the porch of the house on the left.
- HAND DRILL the barrel to drain it.
- Click it to roll it aside and take the PITCHFORK.
- Zoom into the stained glass window above the door on the left.
- Take the SCISSORS.
- Next, zoom into the door of the house on the right, read the note, and take the SAW.
- Finally, zoom into the tree at left, cut the rope with the SCISSORS and take the FISHING ROD. Return to the stable.
- PITCHFORK the hay at the bottom of the stack, to the right of the box that fell down from the rafters.
- Zoom in.
- Take the IRON HAMMER and the CROW RUNE.
- SAW the handle of the pitchfork in the hay and take the HAMMER HANDLE.
- Combine the HAMMER HANDLE and the IRON HAMMER to obtain the HAMMER.
- Move forward to the porch area.
- Use the crow to retrieve the APPLE from the tree.
- Return to the stable.
- Give the horse the APPLE.
- Zoom into the bag hanging around the horse's neck.
- Take the FISHING TACKLE inside.
- Combine the FISHING TACKLE and the FISHING ROD to get the ROD.
- Move forward to the porch area.
- Zoom into the stained glass window above the door at the left.
- Smash the glass with the HAMMER.
- Zoom inside the broken window.
- Apply the ROD to take fish out the KEY, then use it to unlock the door and enter.
