Emergency Axe Code: Free Daisuke from Utility Foam

Talk to Jimmy outside Utility, then speak to Swansea beside Daisuke inside. This is Mouthwashing’s Seven Days Before the Crash scene, with you playing as Captain Curly. Daisuke is stuck in foam, and the emergency axe has a keypad. Pony Express has put a password between you and workplace safety. Finish the conversations, then check the axe case beside the Utility doorway.

Scanner hint: reveal the axe code

The Code Scanner is a handheld light that reveals concealed numbers. It is already in your inventory during this scene. Open your inventory with Tab, activate the scanner, and shine it over the darkened code area on the emergency axe case. Read the digits that appear before moving to its keypad.

Puzzle answer: 2609 is the code for this emergency axe case. Enter those four digits, press the keypad’s green confirm button, then take the Fire Axe from the unlocked case.

Equip the axe and clear the foam

1. Return to Swansea and Daisuke. Interact with them so you are looking directly at Daisuke and the foam trapping him.
2. Open your inventory, select the Fire Axe, and choose Use Fire Axe. Check that the axe is visible in your hands.
3. Aim at the foam around Daisuke and left-click to swing. Keep striking the foam until it breaks away and he is freed.

If clicking the foam does nothing, reopen your inventory and choose Use Fire Axe again. Taking the axe from its case and equipping it are separate steps.

Once Daisuke is free, return to the scene’s conversation, then speak to Jimmy at the doorway. Give those crew exchanges your attention; noticing small details is part of piecing together life aboard the Tulpar. This foam rescue is complete.
