Cargo Door Code and Scanner Clue Route

At the locked Cargo door, check the time card: this is Two Months After the Crash, during the crew’s supply check. Mouthwashing has handed you a keypad when you wanted answers about the Tulpar. Very Pony Express: even the emergency supplies need paperwork. Follow the scanner clue below, or open the answer block for the code without learning what waits inside.

Optional Cheater warning — PC Steam: This achievement requires opening Cargo before acquiring the Code Scanner. If you want it, leave the scanner where it is and use the keypad answer below. Collecting the scanner first, even without using it, does not meet that condition.

Clue first: find and use the Code Scanner

The Code Scanner is a handheld tool whose purple light reveals hidden numbers beneath blacked-out writing. Look for the covered code beside the Cargo door.

Visit Anya in Medical. From the Lounge, take the exit opposite the seating area; Medical is straight ahead. Speak with Anya beside Captain Curly. She points you toward the Cockpit and asks you to help give Curly his painkillers. For the normal route, help him before heading onward.
Find the foam-damaged Cockpit. Return to the Lounge, then leave through the same exit. With Medical ahead of you, turn left into the wider hallway. Pass Cargo and Utility to reach the Cockpit at the far end on the right.
Look down on the left. Pick up the scanner blinking purple on the Cockpit floor. Exploring the locker on the right is optional.
Return to Cargo. Face its door and find the blacked-out code area on the sign to the left.
Activate the scanner. On PC, press Tab to open your inventory, the menu holding your items. Click the Code Scanner to turn it on, then move the pointer across the darkened writing to reveal the four digits.

If nothing appears, check that the scanner is on and aim at the blacked-out sign left of the door. The scanner reveals the code; you still enter it yourself.

Cargo keypad answer — puzzle spoiler

Enter 4517 on the Cargo keypad to the right of the door, then press its green confirm button. For Cheater on PC Steam, do this before picking up the scanner.

Open the door and get back to the scene

Once you have read the clue—or chosen the direct answer—use the keypad and confirm the code. When the door opens, step inside. Successful entry is the endpoint of this solution. Extra conversations with the crew outside Cargo are optional; they are not additional keypad steps.

If you lose track of the normal route, use Anya’s conversation in Medical as your checkpoint, then follow the Cockpit and Cargo steps above.
