Curly’s Birthday Cake: Pouch Codes and Mixing Order

Start with the recipe book on the kitchen wall beside the Lounge. You’re making Curly’s birthday cake in Mouthwashing’s Six Days Before the Crash scene. If you’re holding three nutrition pouches and wondering why nobody has cake, welcome to Pony Express catering. The dispenser supplies the ingredients; the separate mixer needs two rounds to turn them into a finished cake.

Recipe hint: reveal the sweetener code

Open the recipe book and flip through its pages for the cake instructions and ingredient codes. The sweetener code is concealed. Open your inventory with Tab, select the Code Scanner—the handheld device that reveals hidden codes—and switch it on. Aim its light at the darkened sweetener entry to reveal the code.

Pouch codes: collect the three ingredients

At the ingredient dispenser, enter each code separately and take the pouch it produces. These are the cake ingredients:

• Water — 3142
• Gelatin — 4213
• Sweetener — 2341

Now move to the mixing machine with the orange tubes and lever. Entering the dispenser codes only gives you supplies. You still need to load and run the mixer.

Stage 1: water + gelatin

1. Face the mixer and open your inventory.
2. Place the water and gelatin beneath its two orange input tubes, one ingredient beneath each tube. Keep the sweetener for stage two.
3. Pull the mixer’s lever, then collect the cake base from beneath the large central tube.

Checkpoint: You should have an unfinished, plain cake base. This is the correct first result. If you’re stuck holding it, your next move is another round at this same machine.

Stage 2: cake base + sweetener

1. Place the unfinished cake base beneath the left orange input tube.
2. Place the sweetener beneath the right orange input tube.
3. Pull the lever again and take the finished cake.

Checkpoint: The cake is now frosted, and the machine plays a short birthday tune. That second mix completes the recipe.

Bring the cake to the birthday table

Carry the finished cake back to the crew’s birthday table in the Lounge and place it on the table. Let the conversation play; those small exchanges are part of getting to know the Tulpar’s crew. When it’s time to cut the cake, take the knife beside it, open your inventory, and select Use Knife. On PC, press W and S to saw back and forth.
