How to Collect Dust and Make Your First Shipment

Belts full of dust, a busy crew, and money barely moving: later in Moon Sweepers, collection can outrun selling. Lunar management still expects results. Start by following one load all the way from dusty ground to payment before you build a bigger operation.

Your first job is a short loop: collect → deposit → ship → spend. Keep it close to the station. That clean strip behind your toothbrush is the start of a lunar cleaning empire, even if the equipment budget suggests otherwise.

Make your first manual shipment

  1. Equip the Toothbrush and clean nearby ground. Take the starting tool from the Supply Wall, where you buy and equip cleaning gear. Work a small patch near the station so your first delivery is a short walk. Hold the tool-use control to sweep.
  2. Watch your tool’s dust gauge. This storage readout tracks the dust you are carrying against the tool’s capacity. When its container is full, the tool stops collecting. That is your cue to return and unload.
  3. Deposit the load at the station. A depot is your dust delivery point. At the station, look for the deposit intake, the machine with a receiving tray. Keep the loaded tool equipped, aim at the intake, and hold the displayed deposit control to transfer dust into the tray. Check that your tool’s stored amount falls and the intake shows the delivered weight.
  4. Sell the load to complete the shipment. Check the intake screen’s loaded weight and cash value, then use its sell button to send the manual shipment. Check your money balance afterward. Unloading clears your tool; completing the sale turns that load into spending money.
  5. Put the earnings toward your next useful purchase. Return to the Supply Wall to compare better cleaning tools, or inspect the Upgrade Matrix, the upgrade menu accessed through the hologram behind the station’s service table. If sweeping felt slow, compare cleaning improvements. If the container filled too often, compare carrying capacity. Check the displayed cost against your balance before buying; save another load if you are short.

If you unloaded but your balance has not changed, check the intake before heading outside. If it still shows dust and offers the sell action, finish that step. If your tool still holds the load, aim at the receiving tray again and hold the deposit control until the transfer completes.

Later belts use a different payment route

Since patch 1.0.3, dust and stone delivered by conveyor belt pay as they enter the deposit intake. Those deliveries do not require the manual shipment sequence above. Once you add belts, follow a small load into the intake and check your balance. For this first trip, finish the hand-delivery loop before adding machines.
