How to Get More Resources Fast
In Lightyear Frontier, a fast way to stack materials is running tight resource loops (short routes you repeat) with your mech, the farming exosuit you pilot. Head out from your homestead, clear nearby nodes like rocks and trees, then return to unload before your mech hits its weight limit. If you keep roaming far for one missing ingredient, progress can feel slow fast. Staying close and repeating a short loop usually gives you steadier crafting momentum.
If gathering feels punishing right now, you are not doing anything wrong. Early on, one missing part can stall an upgrade while storage fills with items you do not need yet. Before each run, set a top 3 target: one hard material, one plant material, and one backup. Then ignore side distractions until those are stocked. Tip: keep a small emergency reserve of core build materials in storage so one craft does not drop you to zero.
To save time, pair gathering with farm chores: after crop care, do one material sweep, then craft in batches back at base instead of making one item at a time between trips. Also skip early overbuilding. Spending first on key mech upgrades, especially gathering-focused tool upgrades, can speed up harvesting and reduce bottlenecks.
If you feel stuck, run a simple recovery cycle: pause base expansion for one in-game day, gather only the material blocking your next upgrade on short loops, process what you collect, then resume normal farming. That reset usually brings your momentum back quickly and makes the next progression step feel manageable again.
