Missable Side Quests Before Kuttenberg

This is the point where side content in Trosky starts to become easy to lose. You do not reach Kuttenberg until after Storm, but a few quests can close earlier. If you want the lowest-risk route, clean up the missables below before you finish Necessary Evil.

TL;DR: Before wrapping up Necessary Evil, finish Demons of Trosky and any Gules tasks tied to Semine. If you want A Sinful Soul, you need to set it up during The Hermit by exhausting Betty's Hermit dialogue and following the optional clues.

Safe Route Before Kuttenberg

1. If you are taking the blacksmith route into Wedding Crashers, finish The Jaunt before the wedding. Gules's Semine task line branches out of that quest.
2. During The Hermit, ask Innkeeper Betty every question about the Hermit and follow the optional investigation steps. That is what opens the path to A Sinful Soul.
3. If you want Gules's Semine chain, do it before Necessary Evil can burn Semine. If Semine is destroyed there, that branch can end with it.
4. Finish Demons of Trosky before Necessary Evil ends.
5. Before urgent main-story beats, make a manual save and check your journal after major quest turns.

Easy Misses By Name

• A Sinful Soul: This only opens during The Hermit. Talk to Betty until her Hermit dialogue runs out, complete the optional clues, and then use what you learned when you speak to the Hermit.
• Gules after Semine burns: Gules's Semine tasks depend on The Jaunt and are at risk if Semine is destroyed during Necessary Evil. Finish that chain first if you care about it.
• Demons of Trosky: This is one of the Trosky side quests tied to the first point of no return. Clear it before Necessary Evil is over.

Warhorse's patch 1.2 fixed a blocked room in Demons of Trosky if the quest was still active after For Victory started. That solves an older bug, but the safest route is still to finish the quest early.

The Hermit and Gules branches are easy to miss because they come out of normal conversations, not a big warning screen. Ask Betty everything during The Hermit, follow the optional clues, and deal with Gules's Semine work before the story can shut that path down.

Quick Future Warning For Kuttenberg

Keep one later warning in mind. In Kuttenberg, Like Old Times opens during The Lion's Den when you talk to Hans at Devil's Den, so start it right away. Under the Straw Hat can be started during In Vino Veritas when you get hired at the vineyard. Later, Oratores begins Kuttenberg's point of no return, so finish side content before you commit to that quest.
