Goose Lake Point of Interest Screenshot Route and Fixed Landmark Layouts
You know the Flock Around moment: one player is tiptoeing like a serious field expert, another friend hops into the frame like a happy lawn ornament, and the bird you needed vanishes into a bush with perfect comic timing. For bird photos, that can happen. Birds move, shiny birds are special sightings, and a loud approach can ruin the shot. These targets are calmer: Goose Lake's fixed Points of Interest, which you can photograph for guidebook progress.
A Point of Interest is a landmark in Goose Lake that counts after you photograph it and develop the photo. A biome is one of the map's themed areas, like Woodland, Blossom, Marsh, Fall, Bluff, or Snow. A Develop-o-tron is the photo machine where your shots turn into money and guidebook progress. If a landmark photo does not count, do not panic. Re-shoot with the full object centered, keep bushes or friends out of the frame, then develop the new photo before checking the guidebook again.
Use This Route for Screenshot Matching
Start at the Woodland spawn area, then sweep toward the waterfall, Blossom, Marsh, Fall, Bluff, and Snow. The landmarks are fixed, but your path may change a little depending on which biome gates and upgrades you have open. If a rare bird or shiny appears, stop the landmark run, take the bird photo first, and come back. The statue will wait. The sparkly bird will not.
| Order | Screenshot Target | Where to Stand and What to Frame |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Woodland Cave Painting | From Woodland, look up toward the Blossom cliff tiers for a small cave opening. Climb toward Blossom, then drop into the cave opening from the upper path or stairs. Stand inside and photograph the painted wall straight on. |
| 2 | Hexagon Statue | Go to the waterfall near the Woodland and Blossom side of the map. Walk through the water, or use the narrow land beside it, and stand behind the waterfall. Center the Hexagon Statue without letting the falling water fill the whole shot. |
| 3 | Moyai | Climb into Blossom and face the high cliff above and to the right of the waterfall. From the second Blossom tier, use the rocks jutting from the cliff as stepping stones to reach the higher plateau. Photograph the stone head from the open end of the plateau. |
| 4 | Marsh Cave Painting | Enter Marsh from the Woodland side and look for the small above-ground cave near the biome edge. The paintings are inside. Step back enough to catch the whole cave wall, then develop the shot at the next machine you pass. |
| 5 | Fall Bird Statue | Move into Fall from Marsh and scan the red and orange shrubs near the entrance. The statue blends in on purpose, the little leafy trickster. Use binoculars first, then take a close photo once the bird shape is clear. |
| 6 | Bluffs Bird Statue | In Bluff, search the rocky outcrop near the eastern side and the Fall approach. You can photograph it from the ground if your zoom is good, or hop across from a higher rock for a cleaner frame. Keep the whole stone bird visible. |
| 7 | Obelisk | Follow the Bluff edge until you find the bridge up to the cliffside. Cross toward the shop area, then use the shop box and nearby tree branches to climb for a closer angle. If the climb gets fussy, step back and use zoom instead. |
| 8 | The Snowbird | From the Snow entrance near the waterfall cave route, face the high cliff by the Bluff entrance. The Snowbird sits high up and is not a normal walk-up target. Use your best zoom, center the statue, and take backup shots before moving on. |
| 9 | Sledding Game Drawing | Cross to the far side of Snow and look down at the ground for the drawing in the snow. This one is easy to overrun because it is flat. Stand above it, aim downward, and keep the whole drawing inside the photo frame. |
| 10 | Crewmate | Near the Sledding Game Drawing, find the higher Snow ledge and the climbable bushes and tree branches. Hop up carefully, then move along the ledge toward the edge of the biome. Photograph the Crewmate statue once you have a clear side or front view. |
When a Screenshot Does Not Match
If your view looks wrong, reset from a fixed landmark instead of wandering in circles. Return to the starting shop area or the waterfall, then rebuild the route from there. The waterfall is the best anchor because it connects the early Woodland and Blossom landmarks and leads toward the Snow access path.
For completionists, develop every valid landmark photo right away. The guidebook does not reward a perfect camera roll sitting undeveloped in your pocket. Once these fixed targets are done, go back to bird work with the same calm habits: slow down, listen for calls, check the guidebook pose you still need, and let your co-op crew know before anyone charges into a rare sighting like a parade float with shoes.
