Chapter Two: The Town

Motel

  • Zoom into the car.
  • Take the DECAYED WOOD.
  • Zoom into the door at right.
  • Take the note.
  • From the motel sign at left, take the PUZZLE FRAGMENT.
  • Zoom into the door at left.
  • Take the FISH HOOK.
  • Try to open the door with the ROOM KEY.
  • Zoom out and go left.

 

Crossroads

  • Take the COIN and PIECE OF BREAD.
  • Go left toward the lighthouse.
  • Take the INSULATING TAPE.
  • Click down.
  • Go right and then left.

 

Gas Station

  • Look at the newspaper.
  • Zoom into the gas pump.
  • Take the EMPTY GAS CAN and note.
  • Click down two times.
  • Go forward.

 

Man

  • Take the note.
  • Talk to the man.
  • Click down.
  • Go right.

 

Mailbox

  • Zoom into the mailbox.
  • Take the note.
  • Go into the bar.
  • Talk to the man.
  • Click down three times and play the HOA.

 

Motel Hidden Object Area

  • Find the items listed.
  • Receive the LEATHER JACKET.
  • Return to the bar.

 

Bar

  • Give the man the LEATHER JACKET.
  • Take the BIKE-SHAPED KEY.
  • Zoom into the slot machine.
  • Take the HANDLE.
  • Insert the COIN into the slot.
  • Click the lever.
  • Play the HOA.

 

Bar Hidden Object Area

  • Find the items listed.
  • Receive the BROKEN BOTTLE.
  • Click down.

 

Bar Exterior

  • Zoom into the cellar door outside the bar.
  • Open the door with the BIKE-SHAPED KEY.
  • Take the METAL BAR from inside.
  • Zoom out.
  • Click down two times.

 

Motel Lobby

  • Zoom into the right door.
  • Replace the handle.
  • Click the handle.
  • Enter the motel lobby.
  • Talk to the clerk.
  • Zoom into the table.
  • Take the OILER, the brochure, the MATCHES, and the FEATHER DUSTER.
  • Click down.
  • Go left, right, left.

 

Phone Booth

  • Zoom into the phone booth.
  • Oil the door two times with the OILER.
  • Click to move the door.
  • Take the SCREWDRIVER, the note and the TELESCOPE.
  • Click down.

 

Box

  • Zoom into the electrical box to the right of the motorcycle.
  • Use the METAL BAR to pry open the door.
  • Zoom into the panel.
  • Unscrew the screws with the SCREWDRIVER to initiate a mini-game.
  • The object of the game is to click the switches in the proper sequence.
  • Assuming the switches along the top are numbered one to six from left to right, click in this order: 5, 3, 2, 6, 1, 4.
  • Zoom into the cellar door and click the light switch.
  • Enter the cellar.
  • Play the HOA.

 

Basement Hidden Object Area

  • Find the items listed.
  • Receive the PRUNING SHEARS.

 

Sack

  • Cut the sack with the BROKEN BOTTLE.
  • Take the STRAW.
  • Click down two times.

 

Bush

  • Zoom into the bush.
  • Clip the leaves with the PRUNING SHEARS.
  • Go forward to play the HOA.

 

Room Hidden Object Area

  • Find the items listed.
  • Receive the HAMMER.
  • Return to the bar.
  • Play the HOA.

 

Bar Hidden Object Area

  • Find the items listed.
  • Receive the GLOVES.
  • Click down twice.

 

Bush

  • Zoom into the bush.
  • Use the gloves to move the spider.
  • Cut the rope with the BROKEN BOTTLE.
  • Take the SMOKER and the PLIERS.
  • Go forward.

 

Barrel

  • Zoom into the barrel.
  • Place the SMOKER next to it.
  • Put the DECAYED WOOD and the STRAW into the smoker.
  • Ignite the straw with the MATCHES.
  • Pull the nails with the PLIERS.
  • Receive two NAILS.
  • Take the PLANK and HALF OF A LOCKET.
  • Click down two times.

 

Car

  • Zoom into the car.
  • Pull the third NAIL with the PLIERS.
  • Enter the motel.

 

Window

  • Zoom into the window.
  • Pull the fourth NAIL with the PLIERS.
  • Return to the cellar door. 

 

Ladder

  • Zoom into the ladder.
  • Take the second PLANK. Insert the two PLANKS into the ladder.
  • Place the four NAILS on the planks.
  • HAMMER the nails.
  • Take the ladder.
  • Click down.
  • Put the ladder next to the bar and scale the ladder.
