Depths Shrine Feedback and a Bramble Hint — Progression Spoilers
Progression spoilers: This section explains the Depths shrine’s feedback and an optional bramble hint from developer Greeksalad’s October 9, 2026 reply in Node Access Issues.
Short answer: If your time bar flashes red when you kneel at the Depths shrine in Echo Weaver, you do not have enough remaining loop time. The Weaver kneels, the clock flashes, and the statue gives you all the warmth of a locked filing cabinet. Watch the time bar during the interaction: that brief red flash is the useful clue.
Read the shrine’s feedback
In his October 9, 2026 reply in Node Access Issues, developer Greeksalad explained that this launch-period feedback meant insufficient time and was easy to miss. At the shrine near the bottom of the Paternost elevator shaft, separate that time requirement from the question of which movement technique will carry you onward. A red flash does not tell you that you need a new move.
If repeated attempts give you the same red flash, stop spending the loop kneeling again. Note your remaining time, then make a later attempt focused on reaching the shrine with more time left. That gives you a clear comparison without guessing an exact current price.
Optional hint: investigate the big bramble patch
Ready for a direction rather than another shrine attempt? In that same October 9 reply in Node Access Issues, Greeksalad pointed toward getting through the big bramble patch. Use that landmark as your next place to investigate.
Keep the two problems separate: paying the shrine takes time; finding and carrying out a movement technique takes knowledge and practice. The bramble direction is a hint, not a full crossing sequence or a guaranteed bypass. Give your next attempt one purpose: examine that obstacle and identify where your movement attempt stops working. Turning one confusing stretch into a route you understand is a useful loop.
Update note — October 24, 2026
The Steam patch notes for Balance Patch #1 (1.0.0.63), released October 12, 2026, reduced the difficulty of the Depths prayer statue and rebalanced the platforming approach to Anchor Node Mercy. This rebalance has shipped; it is not a pending change.
The Steam Week 2 Patch (1.0.8), released October 23, 2026, changed the barrier area at the end of the Depths loop into a walking path instead of a warp. Check your installed platform build before relying on launch-era balance or older route descriptions. These dated Steam changes do not establish that every installed console build has the same layout or balance.
