Lovers Parcel Solution and Night Clues
Mechanic spoilers — unlock requirement: Use this solution after progression gives you the Lovers stamp and makes the Revealuna, the moon-powered inspection lens in the main service room, usable. The Revealuna works at night after the captain leaves. If you have a heart parcel but cannot use the lens yet, keep it in a separate night-hold area.
Parcel state: An outgoing parcel shows a heart when it passes through the X-ray scanner. Required tools: the X-ray scanner, Lovers stamp, and Revealuna. Next action: stamp the heart parcel, hold it until night, then place it on the surface beneath the Revealuna.
A Lovers parcel can look wonderfully organized while its soulmate sulks under half the freezer. Do not scan every box in the office. The Revealuna sends a slow light trail toward the partner, so give the effect room to move and follow it before disturbing your whole postal nest.
Exact Lovers Parcel Solution
- Scan the first parcel. Run the outgoing parcel through the X-ray scanner. If the result shows a heart, apply the Lovers stamp and complete every other visible requirement.
- Hold it for night. Keep the parcel out of the pickup and boat areas. If it also needs cold, hot, dark, or light storage, leave it in the correct room and mark its location for later.
- Wait for the night phase. Let the captain leave and wait until the office has fully changed to night.
- Use the Revealuna. Place the stamped parcel on the cabinet or inspection surface beneath the lens. Use control 1; that is the control used for the soulmate search.
- Watch for the moving light. Slow, glowing particles leave the parcel in pulses and travel toward its partner. Wait for a clear direction before following them.
- Follow the trail. If it crosses a shelf or wall, use the nearby doorway and wait for the next pulse. At the endpoint, the light enters or circles the partner parcel.
- Separate and confirm the partner. Move the indicated parcel into a clear space. The intended pair shares a destination, although launch-build link bugs can produce a mismatch. If the destinations differ, rerun the Revealuna check before stamping or shipping anything.
- Stamp the second parcel. Apply the Lovers stamp to the partner, then finish its normal destination, postage, temperature, fragile, heavy, damage, and other handling work.
- Ship both on one departure. Put the completed pair on the same eligible boat trip. Current-build contact status: the same-trip rule is established, but box-to-box contact is not. The earlier claim that a tested gap always works has not held up to a clean repeat test, so loading the pair side by side or touching remains the safest method.
Do not assume every Lovers pair appears at the same story point or stays in the same place. A partner can be an older parcel anywhere in the office, and launch-build saves can change a link after reloading. Rerun the Revealuna check before shipping a pair carried over from an earlier play session.
When the Light Vanishes into the Cardboard
| What happens | Recovery move |
|---|---|
| The trail enters a shelf or stack | Move parcels from the top down into a spaced row. Look away and back to refresh the visible particles, or return the first parcel to the Revealuna and use control 1 again. |
| The trail enters the refrigerated, heated, dark, or light room | Keep each parcel under its required room condition. Rearrange likely boxes inside that room first, then expose them one at a time. |
| The trail reaches a held parcel | Have the carrier place it on a clear patch of floor. Wait for the next pulse to enter or circle the stationary box. |
| The trail enters floor clutter | Pause new processing and build one row with gaps between boxes. Rerun control 1 and watch the endpoint rather than the boxes the trail passes through. |
| No trail appears | The partner may still be inside a live backlog pile and not yet available as a loose parcel. Keep clearing that pile over later shifts and retry. If the particles scatter without choosing a parcel, save and restart before checking again. |
| The endpoint has the wrong destination | Separate both candidates, rerun the check, and keep the first parcel on hold. Do not ship a guessed pair. |
Hold-for-Night Checklist
- Keep heart results and other unresolved special parcels out of pickup and boat zones.
- Use one visible night-hold area with labels facing outward.
- Finish every property already revealed during the day.
- Keep known cold, hot, dark, or light parcels in their required rooms. Night hold is a work state, not a new storage condition.
- Do not guess a hidden property from the parcel's shape or printed art.
- At night, inspect the held parcels whose clues call for a nighttime tool.
- After a property is identified, finish the parcel and stage it by destination.
Major Story Spoilers: What the Night Discoveries Mean
Former-postmaster mystery spoilers through the Break Room key follow. The nighttime mechanics establish that ordinary parcels can hide magical properties and links during the day. The backlog also carries the post office's story. The Lovers trail explains a parcel relationship; by itself, it does not identify a culprit or prove what happened to the former postmaster.
Keep clearing the backlog and use the Break Room key when progression makes it available. If that key disappears after loading a qualifying save, update the game before continuing; launch Patch 1 repaired a Break Room key respawn bug. The claims that the former postmaster is named Charlie, was trapped behind fallen parcels, survived on canned tuna, and then retired are not established well enough to present as the ending.
