Echoes of the Past - Royal House of StoneObjective: Find out who has put a spell over the inhabitants of the castle and turne them to stone. Unfreeze the inhabitants and get back to your own time.
Magic Book: Important notes and clues will be registered here. It will update as the game progresses.
Useful items: You will find useful items in some rooms, these will help you continue the adventure. Extra effort is required for items colored red
Sometimes I will let you know by color code which items need to be picked up or put together to complete a puzzle, ex: (red) (blue) and the colors will coordinate with circles or boxes on the screen shot.
Puzzles: You will need to complete puzzles to move further in the game and gain inventory items. Objects in RED require you to solve a mini puzzle within the puzzle.
Inventory: The items you find will be stored in your inventory bar
Mirror: Click the mirror if you need a hint
Magnifying Glass: This appears over areas you need to take a closer look at, or zoom in for puzzles
Hand pointing: Lets you know an object needs to be touched
Hand grasping: Allows you to pick up an object
Moving between areas: You will see an arrow appear letting you know you can enter a new area
STARTING THE GAME:
* Pick up book lying on floor
* Go right
* Pick up mirror on left hand shelf (click on this any time you need help. You are given 10 clues)
* Pick up mirror in window top middle of screen (pick up mirrors in other scenes to gain more clue points)
* Find the hidden objects
* Click on book's pages to flip to the Letter W (lower left corner)
* Use candle on torch, pick up Torch (red box)
* Click down 1x
* From inventory, take torch and light candles on back wall, left and right
* Examine prince on throne, you will need to look for a key to open the gold box
* Click on left urn on left wall by door, pick up Brush
* Click on door on left wall, from inventory, use brush to clean lock
* Pick up key under door and use on lock
* Go left through newly opened door
* Go up 1x
* Pick up picture scraps on floor below nanny
* Click on the picture on wall in front of nanny
* From inventory, place picture scraps on picture to open puzzle
* Rearrange the scraps to restore the painting (when you pick it up and place it over the picture, the paper will open up)
* Clue to a puzzle will be placed in magic book
* Go down 1x, go right in to armory
* Click on round table until the sword is uncovered, pick up the sword
* Pick up shield on back wall, left side
* Click on shield back wall center, sign reads "Metal will cut the wood"
* Go left through opening back wall left side
* Find hidden items
* Pick up the two mirrors (green)
* Pick up arrow, place on bow, pick up heart with arrow (red)
* Pick up tongs (blue)
* Click down 1x to hallway
* From inventory give the shield and sword to the knight on the left wall
* Pick up green scroll from knights hand (a clue will be added to the magic book)
* Click on door on back wall to zoom in and open puzzle
* Click on the pieces to put them in the right order. See page 7 of the magic book for clues (page may be different each game)
* Go through newly opened back door in to Tailor's Room
* Click on back doorway to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up the two mirrors (green)
* Move jug off shelf to silver tray on table and pick up Jug Shadow
* Pick up beaker (purple)
* Click down 1x
* Pick up Diamond Key from lower left corner of hall
* Click down 2x to throne room
* Click on prince to zoom in, place diamond key on chest to open
* Pick up Medallion without a Portrait
* Go right to open puzzle
* Find all the symbols of a king
* Click on checker board to move pieces and pick up crowned pieces
* A puzzle is opened up
* Remove all the pairs to solve the puzzle, by click on the doors to see what is underneath, you will be left with one picture when completed
* Bas-relief with Kings Image added to inventory
* Click down 1x, go left 2x
* Click on door on left wall to zoom in
* From inventory use the tongs to loosen screw in upper right and left corners to open puzzle
* Move the wooden bars and gears to open the lock
* Go left through open doorway in to Princess' Room
* Click on bottom drawer of mirrored dresser, pick up Paint (yellow)
* Click on bottom drawer of cabinet to left of mirrored dresser (blue)
* From inventory, drag green scroll to alchemy machine in center (green)
* Click on machine to zoom in, from inventory, drag beaker to machine to open puzzle
* Hold your mouse over the elements, click only green elements to add them to beaker.
* If you click on another color or click when other colors are highlight with the green, the beaker will dry up and you have to begin again (see pic)
* Pick up Magic Liquid
* Click on doorway back right corner to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up two mirrors (green)
* Pick up glove, wipe dust of table, leave hand print on paper, pick up hand print (red)
* Pick up lever (purple)
* Click down 2x
* Click on door on right to open puzzle
* From inventory, drag paint to puzzle
* Paint the map, using the clue on the left, but do not let any same colors touch
* Dip paintbrush in pot color to add paint to brush
* To remove paint, dip into another color and paint over or dip brush in water to clean
* Go right, through opened door in to King's Room
* From inventory, drag Bas-relief of king to the area on the back lower wall
* Pick up portrait (will be added to medallion in inventory, now Medallion With Portrait)
* From inventory, drag lever to back wall, a door will be opened next to the petrified nanny
* Click down 2x, Click up 1x to nanny
* From inventory, give Medallion with a Portrait to nanny, pick up tissue off bench
* Go left 1x
* Click on loose stone in right wall, pick up key (red)
* Go up stairs to tower
* Pick up the red empty bag on top shelf left wall
* Click on left doorway opening to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up two mirrors (green)
* Pick up broom in left corner, sweep cobwebs above window, click on number 5
* Pick up gear (blue)
* Click down 2x
* Click on right wall to open puzzle
* From inventory, drag gear to mechanism to open puzzle
* Different shapes correspond to different weights
* Place the correct weight on each of the three areas at the top of the mechanism (see solution)
* Click down 2x, go right in to armory
* Click on left doorway to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up scissors, cut pillow, pick up feather
* Feather puzzle: click on all the matching pairs until 1 feather is left
* Pick up blue feather
* Click down 1x
* From inventory, use key to open chest, pick up crowbar
* Click down 1x, click up 1x, go left, go up stairs to tower
* From inventory, drag crowbar to loose boards, pick up knife
* Click on window, use crowbar to open window, pick up ring off the window ledge
* Click down 3x, go left
* Go through door on back wall in to tailor's room
* Click on plant on desk to zoom in, click on plant to make seeds drop
* From inventory, use red bag to hold the seeds, pick up bag with seeds
* Click on back door to open puzzle
* Find all the rings, not all the rings are jewelry
* Pick up saw, use on branch, pick up ring (red)
* Ring matching puzzle
* Find the matching pairs until only one ring is left, Lions Head added to inventory
* Click down 3x, go up 1x
* Click on back door to zoom in
* From inventory, take lions head and place on door, click on head
* From inventory, take ring and place on left lions head, click on head
* Go through open doorway in to the Courtyard
* From inventory, sprinkle bag with seeds over grassy area
* From inventory, pour green liquid over grassy area
* Pick up garden pruner and flavoring herb
* Click on fountain to zoom in
* Click on leafy area lower right of fountain, read plaque "Water defeats the fire"
* From inventory, use crowbar on grate in front of fountain, click to zoom in and open puzzle
* Assemble the pipes from the bottom of the screen to the valves, then turn on all the taps
* Once a pipe is in the correct spot it will become darker. Lighter pipes are in the wrong place.
* Click on the valves in the correct order to turn all the lights green
* Click valves in this order: D C E B C D
* Click down 1x, go right 1x
* From inventory, use garden pruner on shrubs
* Click on sign on left hand tree, "trees will break the earthquake."
* Pick up spade lower middle of screen
* Click down 1x, go left 1x
* Click on the second pillar on right to zoom in on plaque: "Earth will stop the water."
* Click on plaque a second time to move it, pick up key
* From inventory, use spade on earth below left side pillar, pick up hook
* From inventory, use knife on rope to cut it down, pick up rope (rope and hook combine in inventory as climbing irons)
* Click down 1x, go right 1x
* From inventory, use climbing irons to pull down branch, use pruners to cut branch
* Place climbing irons on upper window, click up 1x
* Click on plaque above fireplace to remove webs, click on it again to zoom in: "Fire destroys the metal."
* Pick up empty beaker on lower right shelf back of room
* Click on barrel until it rolls away from the door, needs to be a continuous clicking (there will be oil pouring out of it)
* Go through newly opened door
* Click left 1x, click up 1x
* Click on doorway on left wall to open puzzle
* Find all the messages
* Pick up bellows and blow on compact to create message on right hand window, pick up the "danger" message
* Match the messages until only one message is left (violet powder will make the old look new)
* Click down 4x, click left 2x in to Princess' room
* From inventory, place violet scroll on alchemy machine
* Click on alchemy machine to zoom in, from inventory, drag empty beaker to machine to open puzzle
* Click on machine to zoom in, from inventory, drag beaker to machine to open puzzle
* Hold your mouse over the elements, click only blue and red elements (violet) elements to add them to beaker.
* If you click on another color or click when other colors are highlighted with the red and blue, the beaker will dry up and you have to begin again (see pic)
* Pick up Magic Powder
* Click down 1x, Click up 1x
* From inventory, drag feather and magic powder to tailor
* Pick up mitten where the tailor was just standing
* Click down 2x, click up 1x, go right in to kitchen
* From inventory, use mitten to open pot over fire
* From inventory, add flavoring herb to soup
* Click on opening, back left corner to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up two mirrors (green)
* Pick up wine glass on top shelf and drag to keg on back wall, pick up glass of wine (purple)
* Pick up oil can
* From inventory, place oil can under drip barrel of oil, pick up oil can
* Click right 1x, click up 1x, click left 1x
* Click on gate on right to zoom in, from inventory use key to unlock
* From inventory, use oil can to grease gate hinges
* Click on open gate to open puzzle
* Find hidden items
* Pick up two mirrors (green)
* Pick up water jug and pour over fire, pick up smoke (red)
* Pick up door handle (blue)
* Click down 2x
* Click on fountain to zoom in, note the star
* Click down 2x, click left 1x, go up stairs to tower
* Click on window, note the shapes in the fountain
* Click down 3x, go right in to armory
* Click on door on right wall to zoom in
* Using the clues from the fountain, solve the puzzle to unlock the door
* Find the hidden items
* Find the two mirrors (green)
* Pick up stone, smash ship in a bottle, pick up letter
* Pick up dirty coin (handkerchief will wipe it clean, now it is a clean coin in the inventory)
* Click down 1x, click up 2x
* Go left 1x, click up 2x
* From inventory, place door handle on door, click on door
* Go inside
* From inventory, give clean coin to coffin maker, pick up crystal ball
* Click on middle tomb to open puzzle
* Click on the letters to cause them to slide into a new spot. Move them around until you spell the name Henry
* Click on middle tomb
* From inventory, drag torch to left side to light up stairway
* Click down 3x, click on cemetary gate on right to open puzzle
* Find all the reptiles
* Click on white egg, lower left corner a few times until green snake appears, pick up snake
* Match the reptile's musical notes and colors until only one is left
* Metal decoration added to inventory
* Click down 1x, click right 1x, click up 1x in to kitchen
* Click on back doorway to open puzzle
* Find all the bushels of grapes (purple)
* Click on paper on corner of counter to open, click 2x to pick up grapes (green)
* Find the grapes that are similar until one grape is left
* Metal decoration added to inventory
* Click down 1x, go right 1x
* Go down 1x, go right 1x in to armory
* Click on right doorway to open puzzle
* Find all the flowers (pink)
* Pick up candle on right shelf, place in candle holder on left table to drip wax, pick up flower (green)
* Match the two flowers with the same musical symbols
* Metal decoration added to inventory
* Click down 2x, go left 2x in to Princess' room
* Click on doorway back right wall to open puzzle
* Find all the frames in the room
* Find the two frame pieces and place on picture of girl on back wall (red)
* Click on the frames with the same shape until one frame is left
* Special frame added to inventory
* Click down 3x, Click up 2x
* Click left 1x
* Click up 1x, go inside mausoleum
* Go inside coffin
* From inventory, drag three metal decorations to door, special frame and crystal ball
* Go through open doorway
* Click on chest, lower left corner, pick up Flint (green)
* Pick up dustpan next to fireplace (blue)
* Pick up firewood back center under counter (red)
* Click on fireplace to move cover (yellow)
* From inventory, place wood in fireplace, use flint to light fire
* Click on area above fireplace on wall to make fire flame up (gray)
* Use dustpan to pick up coals
* Pick up dustpan with coals
* Click on green items on left hand side to zoom in
* From inventory, drag dustpan with coals to below the green beakers
* Make the magic potion by putting from left to right the lightest to heaviest tufts. (see solution below)
* Pick up magic potion
* From inventory, give magic potion to princess
* Pick up amulet
* Go right through newly opened door
* Pick up mallet on left side of room
* Pick up saplings on right side of room
* Pick up spade on right side of room
* Pick up jug above right gargoyle
* From inventory, use shovel to dig dirt on left side of room
* Pick up shovel and dump dirt in center of water to stop flooding ("Earth will stop the water")
* Pick up blue gem above left gargoyle, this will start an earthquake ("Trees will break the earthquake")
* From inventory, place the saplings in the dirt
* Pick up orange gem above right torch on back wall, branches will take over the room ("Metal will cut the wood")
* From inventory, use mallet on box near left hand roots(orange)
* Pick up the machete from the skeleton
* From inventory, use machete to cut through vines
* Pick up green gem lower left side of room, room will fill with spears ("Fire destroys the metal")
* Pick up burning torch behind left gargoyle
* From inventory, use burning torch on spears
* Pick up the silver gem from above right gargoyle, the wood will catch fire ("Water defeats the fire")
* From inventory, take jug and smash against back right wall to release the water
* Pick up red gem from left torch on back wall, prepare for final battle
* Click on the center of the room to zoom in
* From inventory, place the gems on the puzzle, puzzle is random so depending on where you place the gems your puzzle may be solved differently
* Move the gems around to their correct places. By clicking on the gem you will cause it to move to an empty space.

* Click on doorway on back wall to zoom in
* From inventory, place amulet on top point of doorway, this will cause it to shatter and the prince to be unfrozen.
