Zuma Revenge Adventure Review

A cold snap in LA today. Finally a reason to stay inside and play some games (like I really needed one). Recently I've been playing Zuma's Revenge. I'm a big fan of the original so I was excited to see what new things the sequel would have to offer.

A cold snap in LA today. Finally a reason to stay inside and play some games (like I really needed one). Recently I've been playing Zuma's Revenge. I'm a big fan of the original so I was excited to see what new things the sequel would have to offer. I was pleasantly surprised by a few the things. The graphics got a significant upgrade so the game is more pleasing to look at. There are also a number of new power-ups which are a lot of fun - my favorite being the ability to shoot out three big cannon balls to unleash mass destruction. Its great for corner shots. On some levels, the frog (who is on a real rampage of destruction this time around) can jump to different lily pads, so that's cool. There are also bosses to fight to open up new lands. One tip - after you beat a boss, pause for a minute and listen to the "spooky" sounds they make. They are kinda funny. The only thing that I thought was odd is that there is only one mode of play. Besides that, the game is a great follow up to a classic.
