i cannot find the r typewriter key

The key is in the toy store. I'm sure

Correct however, it will only appear after you reach a certain level in the game. It's with the creepy, blinking dolls.

I know where the key is but the game appears to have stalled, when I completed the puzzle the twins didn't appear in al spite of clicking all over the place.
