Neither can I! And I never solved the rug puzzle and it won't let me go back!

The teddy bear actually goes right beside the foot of the stairs under the girls face statue.

I also have done the above suggestions and it does not allow me to place the teddy bear as stated above, please help me out here...

I can't get the bear to lock in either. Also had trouble as item 5 in the herbalist book didn't show, I used the directions from walkthru.

Anyone found a solution on the " placing the bear" problem ? I have tried a 100 times without luck! Makes it impossible to finishe the game.
