I am in the gramophone room trying to retrieve the bottle marked "liquid of plant life". So far everytime I try to pick it up it says I will leave it here. Can you tell me how to pick it up?

talk to merrow first......he will ask u about the "liquid of plant life"......then go to the gramophone room and pick up the green bottle from the shelf...
