I can't get the boots - I have had up to 2 ranches of each type including ostriches and a manned tannery and smokehouse -
Please is there else i am missing - I have every trophy but that one and have done game completely 2 times.

I saw someone say they got boots from the ranch(es) but I didn't get mine until I built and employed someone at the Tannery.
Just a thought but since the other store items needed muliple buildings (i.e. 3 butter churns) maybe you need to have 3 smokehouses. I don't know if it's actually required but I know I had 3 ranches (not sure what was on them) and 3 smokehouses and last, the Tannery.
FINALLY GOT SOLUTION
NEED 1 cow ranch 1 manned tannery 1 manned blacksmith to get boots.
