My villagers got the statue all the way to the top and then stopped. Seems like the last step is to anchor it, but I can't get them to work on it anymore. I've tried to get the chief to direct work again but he doesn't respond. Anyone else have this problem? any advice? Thanks!

Well, I answered my own question! :) It is an actual glitch in the game so you can go to the Last Day of Work forums to download the update to the latest version.
