Okay, I built the first hut they have started for you, so how do you build more? I think my population's been maxed out at 9, and my builders are just sitting on their rears all day not doing anything. Any tips?

You need to use a villager trained in building.
You have to keep breeding until you have a population of 14, then a foundation will appear left of the long hut. Bring a builder to it and he will start building. When you finish and you reach a population of 28, another foundation will appear south of the second hut. when you finish, that's the last hut.
In the meantime, your builders need to be clearing the beach and/or clearing the blockage on the creek (creek requires level 2 building tech)
