I had that problem. The way I solved it was to create a new character and start over from the beginning. Then, I made sure I got gold in every single level before attempting the last level in the right bottom corner. After that, I no longer had the shutdowns. Hope that helps. :)

I tried creating a new player. Still having the same problem. And it IS when the bears show up that things start going weird. Looking forward to finding a solution that works! Help!
