I'm still not able to figure out what exactly is 'death,life,element magic protection' is in the game.What exactly happens when one has +ve vampirism?I know that with -ve one,your life diminishes with every action.

If you have +vampirism, your character gets some amount of hits (life) back after each round (after actions of all your troops). But it does not help you if your character dies during the battle.
