I'm just starting at the part where i need 1000 dollars ransom for the the return of the female settler. Where the heck are the kidnappers?? who do i bring the sheriff to? please help!, maybe I;m just blind! :)

build a bridge if u haven't already, and make the sheriff cross
go south after that, u'll need dynamite by the way to blast the entrance,
the moment u give them money, run as fast as u can towards ur bridge, but THEY WILL FOLLOW YOU! so have some gunslingers ready to kill at the bridge so that they don't kill ur sheiff
