My inventory chest has bubbles coming out of it. What does that mean?

It isn’t your inventory chest that has bubbles, it is the broken carriage hidden object scene directly above it that has them. The bubbles indicate that you can enter that scene. Once you’ve found everything and exit the scene, you cannot re-enter until you see the “bubbles” again.
