Kittenburg Gate

I collected all the kittens from the different levels, but level does not come to an end. I looked at the walkthrough, and had already completed it all the way through. The top 2 gates with the monsters do not open at all and wondering if there are hidden kittens I cannot get to since these gates won't open.
