northern tale level 14 - no gold!

Has no one had any trouble on level 14? I was zooming along until I had to pick the mushroom and didn't have enough gold! There's no stump resource and both gold mines are mined so where does the extra needed come from? First attempt 2 gold needed and second attempt was 6 gold needed. Would really appreciate some info on this one!
