When you get a random even thing, using my villager Jomo for example, there was a popup screen which said Jomo has found a crate washed up from the shore, i then have the choice to investigate or push it back into the sea. I chose to push it back but what happens if for any even like this you investigate?

well it could have lethal spiders in it which will kill your villagers. or could have berries in it. so really the risk is yours

It depends on what type the crate is. If its watertight it may be young 3 year old children. If its a reagular wood crate it may hold steaks or if its a rotting wood crate it has posion spiders that will weaken,even kill your villager. So its all up to you.
